چکیده
Using Soft-Collinear Effective Theory, we develop the transverse-momentum-dependent factorization formalism for heavy flavor dijet production in polarized-proton-electron collisions. We consider mass corrections collinear-soft and jet functions, as well associated evolution equations. this formalism, generate a prediction gluon Sivers asymmetry charm bottom at future Electron-Ion Collider. Furthermore, compare theoretical predictions with without inclusion of finite quark masses. find that effects can give sizable to predicted asymmetry.

Heavy Flavor Production at the electron-proton collider HERA
An overview over the recent heavy flavor results of the H1 and ZEUS collaborations is presented. Various techniques to tag the heavy quark, which allow to explore different phase space regions, are employed. Predictions of pertubative QCD are compared to the charm and beauty production data. Charm and beauty fractions of the proton structure function F2 are extracted.
متن کاملThe Gluon Sivers Distribution in D Production at Rhic
The single transverse spin asymmetry in D meson production at RHIC can provide a clean measure of the gluon Sivers distribution function. At intermediate rapidity, D production is largely dominated by the elementary gg → cc̄ channel, where there cannot be any transverse spin transfer. Therefore, any transverse single spin asymmetry observed for D’s produced in pp interactions can only originate ...
